I have creo simulate light, and it works for most things, but the maximum of 200 surfaces for creo simulate light is a problem that I find myself constantly running into.
thanks!

Hallo,
hab mir gestern die kostenlose studentenversion runtergeladen, leider weis ich nicht welche lizenzidentifizierung ich benötige bzw. wo ich diese bekomme ??
ok, since this is a (mostly?) english forum, my question in english again...:)
Hi,
I'm trying to create a student-license for Creo 1.0. I strictly use the instructions at http://apps.ptc.com/schools/references/install_creo1_student.pdf.
When I try to create the License-File under http://www.ptc.com/appserver/lm/programs/licensing_programs_v.jsp
the only thing that happens is a reload of the page! Nothing else happens, no E-Mail is sent with the license file. I filled out the form correctly with hostid, serial and the other stuff that is required.
I'm trying a week now to get that License-File, would be very happy to get help from you all...
Thanks for your help.
Dave
Hallo,
Dave
After finally installing Creo 3.0 Student Version , 64 bit, I am getting error (in std.out file):
License request failed for feature
ERROR - C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 3.0\M030\Common Files\text\config.pro, linenum 5 : Keyword 'ALLOW_SAVE_FAILED_MODELS' is not valid.
Please help. Installation has not been easy!!!
Our school has got Microsoft 2012 virtual server standard R2, and am trying to install the floating license server.
Tried to install using the instructions provided:
Download media
then read the pdf about flexinet license
In general, the process of using the HPV_UUID would follow this outline:
1. Identify the virtual machine on which the license server will be run, and download the platform-specific
lmhostid utility from the Flexera Software website.
2. Run the command lmhostid -ptype HPV -uuid at the command line of the virtual machine where the license
3. Modify the license certificate to configure server parameters (like TCP port number, options file, or other
4. Launch the license server on the virtual machine by pointing to the license certificate.
5. If the license server has to be moved to another physical machine, simply copy the virtual machine image
Problem is I can't find the lmhostid utility on the flexera website can anyone point me to where I can get it, or let me know any other method
thanks

Can someone please kindly provide some assistance.
I downloaded Creo 3.0 student version, the first day i made some parts saved them and it work good, 2nd and 3rd day when making parts it would automatically close on me without any reason. would open the Creo and file restore, but when i try to save my work it would go off on me again and again.
I also wanted to know if with this 3.0 student version, can i do stress analysis and mechanical analysis? as for i need it for school projects.

This problem is characterized by an error message that appears right after PTC Creo 2.0 launches. The error appears in a Creo window named "Warning: Message List" and typically has a large amount of text below the "License request failed for feature" which appears at the top. A screenshot of the message is shown below.
This error appears when Creo is unable to effectively validate your license file. Often this happens when a license file expires, becomes corrorupt, is generated incorrectly or is deleted. Alternatively since your Creo license is tied to the Host ID of the first priority network card on your computer your computer may be using the wrong Host ID. Often, computers have more than one network card (wireless and LAN) and if one of the cards is enabled or disabled after licensing, the first priority network card and thus Host ID will change. If this happens, Creo will open with a message that says “License request failed for feature” and if you expand the Warning Message List dialog box, you will see “Invalid host”.
If you see "Invalid Host" in the Warning Message List dialog box then try this guide...
If you do not see "Invalid Host" or the above guide was unsuccessful, then use this guide to send Academic Support your license file....
I'm a student using Creo 2.0, and have had this program for months without any issues and then all of a sudden I get an error upon oppening Creo:
"License request failed for feature"
I attatched a picture of the full error message.
I don't know if it's an expired license or what. I thought I read that the student licenses never expired? I'm not sure, but thanks in advance!

I sent to customer care the following note.Copy My original request regarding license for Creo Simulate student Edition.I have the Simulate 3,students edition which requests a licence entry before I can study via PTC University precision LMS lessons. I downloaded Creo 3.0 student version on Windows 7 and nothing will open. I have a bunch of shortcuts that do nothing.
I just downloaded and installed Creo 3 Academic and I can't seem to use the hole or pattern feature. I have some experience with SolidWorks and the overall operation seems to be very similar. Just doodling around I created a basic extrusion then tried to use hole tool. From the hole tool pane, I can't get the option to accept the hole. I then tried to use the pattern tool and it will not allow me to select a sketch to repeat or change the number of items in the pattern. Am I doing something wrong or are these features not included in Academic?
Hi,

These two problems are characterized by the user being unable to succesfully input their product code into "Simple License Entry" box. It can appear as one of two possible errors...
Both of these errors are caused because something is interferring with your ability to contact our licensing servers. This could be because of an anti-virus, admin permissions, firewall, or network issue. The guide linked below will walk you through the process of generating a license file manually and installing PTC Creo 2.0 without using the "Simple License Entry".
